DtM CEO Honored by National Peace Corps Association

The National Peace Corps Association (NCPA) recently highlighted Alumni who are also Tech Museum Award Laureates to honor those who are benefiting society through technology. The Peace Corps ignited Timothy Prestero to focus his drive towards the common social good and gave him the tools to accomplish this goal, resulting in the creation of Design that Matters while a student at MIT. The first major project of the collaboration, the Kinkajou Microfilm Projector, uses technology to enhance night time literacy classes in rural communities, bringing technology, innovation, and needs together. Through the Kinkajou, DtM was awarded the Tech Museum Award in 2005. Click here for the full story.
